Psalm 103:13-14, 17 NIV 2011
As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.
But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children.
David reflected continually on all God had done for him throughout his life. The Apostle John was acutely aware of salvation through faith alone in Christ alone. 1 John 3:1, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” Both lived for God. There is no end to the love the Father or Son has for their children. God is the Maker of all things. Psalm 139:13, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” God’s love and compassions for His faithful children are everlasting.
Being homeowners was important to both my husband and myself. In 1976 we purchased our first home. Forty-two years later we are about to purchase our last home. God’s hand has been present each time the documents needed signatures to complete the sale. I am a child of the King and He knows the desires of my heart. Like David, my choices in many things have not always been godly. God’s Word says His love and compassions are never ending.
Why does God call us to live for Him?
Loved by God daily,
