Genesis 1:24a & 25 NIV 2011
And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds”… God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
God created the heavens and earth on the first day. He then created the sky on day two. It was on day three He created the land and sea. The fourth day He created the light in the sky, sun and moon with stars thrown into the sky. On day five He created the living creatures in the sea and flying above. The sixth day He created the animals. God created the animals to enhance the earth each different from the other. And finally He created mankind. God’s love is seen in the perfection of His creation.
After spending time with my sister and two nieces, my appreciation for God’s creation has grown again. We drove northwest to Mt. Charleston as the desert landscape gave way to pine trees we saw beautiful rock faced mountains. The next day we drove to Lake Mead, another contrast of the rocky mountains that slide into the Grand Canyon. But God! We experienced fabulous family fellowship. It was another of God’s special gifts, more sweet time of family “yackety yacking” together in the car. God’s love is visible daily in all of His perfect creation.
What is astounding about God’s creation?
