Revelation 14:13 NIV 2011
Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”
“Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”
John heard from heaven the second beatitude of those who belong to Jesus at death. John addressed all who choose to persevere even during times of great life altering strife. John had just seen the Lamb along with the 144,000. John listened as three angels proclaimed the Gospel and God’s judgment. God blesses those who remain faithful from that moment until Jesus’ return. God remembers all that his faithful do as they minister to the least among us by leading them to Christ. God’s people are called to share Jesus with the world. Dying to self and living for Christ brings eternal fruit for God’s glory.
We’re to be like Star Trekkers, boldly going where others haven’t gone. That’s what missionaries do when they go. Taking God’s Word to prisons, hosting a neighborhood Bible study or merely sharing with a friend who is not a believer are all ways we can go where no one has gone before. I don’t need to go to Africa to share the Truth of God’s Word. Memorizing Scripture is one way I have it available whenever needed. Dying to self and living for Christ is a daily process for His glory.
How will we share His eternal truth today?
Living for Jesus,
