Exodus 33:13-14 NIV 2011

The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
Moses went to the Lord humbly to ask God to teach him His ways. God showed Moses compassion with His answer. Going directly to the Lord, Moses would spend his time each day in the presence of the living God. God heard Moses’ request and showed His glory in 34:6, “And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, ‘The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.’” The Lord continued giving Moses instructions in leading His people. Upon completion, Moses walked down from Mount Sinai with a radiant face and the second tablets. God’s presence brings true rest.
