Psalm 34:4-7 NIV 2011
I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.
David’s psalm began with praise to the Lord in answer to his prayer for deliverance. David continually wrote of God’s faithfulness. Psalm 22:4, “In you our ancestors put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them.” David saw the radiance of God’s people when they turned to Him like Moses, Exodus 34:29, “When Moses came down from Mount Sinai…his face was radiant because he had spoken with the Lord.” David knew God was with him, Psalm 37:39a, “The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord…” The Lord surrounds His people in every circumstance.
Spending the last two weeks looking for God’s presence in my life, each day without fail He has surrounded me. From the reminder of a doctor’s appointment in fifteen minutes to the drive there that should have taken me at least 20 minutes He cleared the roads before me. Asking for assurance regarding travel with my husband after Christmas, He made it clear we were to go with tickets at just the perfect price and lodging. Watching, He surrounds me daily!
Where was His presence visible today?
Surrounded by Him,
