Romans 5:9-10 NIV 2011
Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him? For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
Paul wrote to the church in Rome and gave God’s plan of salvation for Jews and Gentiles. He delineated the steps necessary for salvation offered to all. Jesus laid down His life as the final sacrifice for the sins of all. His sacrifice saves anyone who chooses to believe God’s final judgment by stating all who believe will be saved. Every human is born as an enemy of God. All need to be reconciled/justified to Him and can be through Jesus Christ. Salvation from God’s wrath through Christ alone enables believers to live victorious lives for His glory.
Moving from being His enemy to living for Him is a process. Just when I think I have it all figured out, I loose perspective. I need to reassess what sin needs to be confessed, repent and return to Him. God’s Word has always been the place I go to find victory. The book of Romans is the first book I choose for direction, affirmation and clarification regarding the doctrine of salvation. Jesus Christ enables me to live a victorious life for His glory daily.
