Psalm 147:2-5 NIV 2011
The Lord builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limits.
God remained with His people. When they were slaves in Egypt, He never forgot them. He redeemed them. Exodus 6:6b, “I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment.” God is worthy of praise. Psalm 48:1, “Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain.” God is everlasting and is never weary. Isaiah 40:28c, “He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.” The Lord God is all knowing.
Reading Psalm 147 this morning was the perfect beginning of my day. Praising God for who He is and all that He’s done in my life is not much different from the psalter praising God, the creator and Lord over all. Seeing His hand in even the smallest parts of my walk with Him, amazes me. He is always there. He’s not constrained by any limitations because He knows my needs. The best way to remain faithfully His is to spend time studying His word and writing daily. God is all knowing!
Where have we seen God’s mighty power today?
He knows us,
