Hebrews 9:27-28 NIV 2011
Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Christ shed blood at the cross came at a cost for sinners. The temple sacrifices and the priests were no longer needed. The Lord told Adam in the Garden he would not live forever because of the curse, Genesis 3:17-19. He walked out of the Garden expelled from God’s Garden and judged. 2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” Jesus courageously shared the Good News. Jesus carried His cross. Jesus will return. Jesus is our Everlasting Courage.
A young woman is currently in a battle for her life. She is a friend of mine. A pastor’s wife with young ones we have been in prayer for the last two months for her to remain strong. She asked for prayer today because fear was near as she went to her oncologist. My prayer is for her to have courage as she continues this fight for her life and keeps her eyes on Jesus. Daily Jesus is our Everlasting Courage.
Where will we be courageous today?
He’s our courage,
