Exodus 3:11-12 NIV 2011
But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”
God called Moses much like He called David; they were both tending their flock. Moses was called to shepherd and lead God’s people. After speaking, Moses asked God his first question. He was so unsure of his abilities he questioned God four additional times. Exodus 4:13, “But Moses said, ‘Pardon your servant, Lord. Please send someone else.’” God had an answer for each question. He gave Moses everything he needed to lead Israel home. God is with and equips those He calls.
Walking with the Lord is sometimes like waiting for our name to be called when we fly standby. Sometimes it’s called and there is a seat for us and sometimes there is not.We know there are other flights. We are all called to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. At times we are called to serve as Moses was called to serve. I’m not leading a group of people in the desert. But I have led a group of women through His word. God daily equips me to serve when He calls.
Where is God calling us to serve?
