Isaiah 60:21b-22 NIV 2011

“They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor. The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; in it’s time I will do this swiftly.”

Isaiah continued to quote God’s Words regarding the Redeemer. Isaiah 59:20, “‘The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins,’ declares the Lord.” Those who followed the Lord were His. Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s handwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works…” It mattered not who they were because God created and ordained them His. Genesis 12:2, “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great.” God’s timing is perfect. The Lord redeems those who belong to Him.

The story of redemption was a difficult one to understand as a young person. Being saved/redeemed at a young age, I was never quite sure if I’d ever be good enough for God. It was when I began to study God’s Word in depth that I understood His amazing saving Grace. My decision in fifth grade saved me and my walk of faith is a life long walk of making daily decisions to remain faithful. Like the Israelites, there have been times I’ve faltered. However, I am assured I’m redeemed and belong to Him.

Who needs to hear our real redemption story?

Redeemed through Christ,
