Job 9:4, Psalm 92:5, Isaiah 28:29, Romans 11:33a NIV 2011
His wisdom is profound.
How great are your works Lord, how profound your thoughts.
All this also comes from the Lord Almighty, whose plan is wonderful, whose wisdom is magnificent.
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
All three parts of the Trinity are wise. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of wisdom. Isaiah 11:2, “The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom.” Christ is the wisdom of God. 1 Corinthians 1:30, “It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us the wisdom of God.” God has wisdom. Daniel 2:20, “and said: ‘Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his.’” True wisdom centers in God. Seeking God in all circumstances yields His profound, magnificent, rich wisdom.
There have been many times in my life when I’ve made decisions and neglected asking for wisdom from the Lord. Some worked out well and others were disastrous. When I reflect on the times God has been a part of huge decisions, those have been the ones that have gone well. 2 Samuel 11 reveals David’s ungodly choices, which led to sin. That sin kept him from spending time in God’s presence. This study was a perfect reminder to seek God’s wisdom daily in all circumstances.
