Isaiah 43:2 NIV 2011
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
God explained to Isaiah who He is and how He remained with Israel. God rescued them from Egypt. God held back the Red Sea as Israelites crossed. Exodus 14:21, “Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back…” God stopped the Jordan River when Israel crossed. Joshua 3:16, “the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away…” Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego all walked through fire with God. Daniel 3:25, “He said, ‘Look! I see four men walking around in the fire…’” God remains with His people.
The past few weeks I’ve been keenly aware of God’s presence in my life. Though it’s not included walking through high waters or fire, it has been pretty amazing to see Him actively at work in my day-to-day life. From His answered prayers in ways only He can to His caring for my hearts desires, it’s been astounding. The answer to my prayers is as if He’s placed those thoughts and desires in my heart. I’m thankful to have His presence in my life. God remains with me daily.
How does God remain with us daily?
Thankful for God’s presence,
