Revelation 22:6-7 NIV 2011

The angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things must soon take place.”

“Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in the scroll.”

To walk and act in faith is what is woven throughout God’s Word from Genesis to Revelation. John echoed those words in his Gospel which he continued in Revelation. Matthew, Paul, Peter and the author of Hebrews also reminded God’s people regarding the same hallmarks of faith. The sixth beatitude reveals another of God’s blessings given to those who walk by faith. A step-by-step walk is accomplished knowing Jesus will return. By keeping God’s Word believers are blessed by Jesus. Followers of Christ are called to walk in the light of His return.

Each step I’ve taken since early 1978 has indeed been a closer walk of faith. Moving away from family and friends is a difficult choice but both my sweet husband and I have seen they were right decisions. The opportunity to make new friends and connect with others has been nothing short of amazing. Walking daily by faith has been a blessing. Strengthened each day by His Word constantly reveals His purposes for me. As a follower of Christ, His path is clear remembering The Lord will return someday.

How does God’s Word impact our life?

Walking with Jesus,
