1 Chronicles 16:10, Psalm 8:1, 9 NIV 2011
Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens.
Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
King David constructed a place to live in Jerusalem. 1 Chronicles 15:1b described what happened next, “he prepared a place for the ark of God and pitched a tent for it.” When the ark arrived they presented a burnt offering before God. He appointed Asaph and associates to offer praise to the Lord. Psalm 8, David’s psalm, offered praise to God the Creator of everything. David saw God’s creation by looking around and up. Though God is Lord of all, He desires a personal relationship with His people. Creation reveals God’s majesty and He is worthy of praise
After a walk this morning, I was ready for the day. Focused on the God of creation, the birds and His beauty were present as moved along at a brisk pace. A late breakfast with my sweet friend led me home to begin writing. So engrossed in writing, I completely spaced on my mammogram appointment. My husband was on his way to the pharmacy so we stopped by and they fit me in immediately. The Lord is worthy of my praise as I daily experience His majesty.
What makes God worthy of praise today?
