Psalm 104:10-12 NIV 2011
He makes springs pour water into the ravines; it flows between the mountains. They give water to all the beasts of the field, the wild donkeys quench their thirst. The birds of the sky nest by the waters, they sing among the branches.
This entire Psalm is a song to the Creator. He centered the Psalm in verses 10-18 showing the earth as a healthy growing garden of life precisely as it was meant to be. God provided the water from the mountains to flow through the valleys toward the heartland of Israel to sustain the animals. He powerfully kept His creation in sink with the surroundings. Each animal, large and small alike, were given the opportunity to drink. The author closed the Psalm in verse 33b, “Praise the Lord, my soul. Praise the Lord.” The last three words in Hebrew “Hallelu Yah.” God’s timing is perfect.
Walking down the hill this morning, the landscape of the desert was my view as I walked. God’s Creation never ceases to amaze me. To comprehend the perfect placement of the earth on it’s axis giving us the atmosphere we need to survive is what some call a miracle. While many theories abound regarding our beginning, I know God’s Truth of earth’s creation. We are created in God’s image which should give us a clue to our import. I praise God daily for His creation and that His timing is absolutely perfect.
How do we praise God?
