1 Timothy 1:13-14 NIV 2011
Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
Paul was a persecutor of Christians. While men were stoning Stephen, they dropped their coats at Saul’s feet. Acts 8:1, “And Saul approved of their killing him.” Acts 22:4, “I persecuted the followers of the Way to their death.” Paul’s letter was written to offer encouragement and instruction relating to His ministry within the church in Ephesus. He shared what he was before he met Jesus on the road to Damascus. 2 Timothy 1:13, “What you heard from me, keep as a pattern of sound teaching with faith and love in Christ.” The Lord pours out His grace on all who believe in Him.
Watching and waiting, daily I see His amazing grace poured out on me. As a sinner, I deserve death but because I’ve been saved I’m covered with the blood of Jesus. Walking those progressive steps with friends and family as they walk into eternity His unmerited favor was poured out on each of us. His grace is poured out on many through our prayers. During a meeting this evening, I saw the Lord pour out His grace on all who believe in Him.
Where has God’s grace been seen today?
His grace is limitless,
