John 4:23-24 NIV 2011
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in Spirit and in truth.
John began his gospel laying the foundation of the Word based on Jesus Christ. John 1:1-2, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.” Jesus is the Word. John 1:14, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” Jesus came to prepare the way for worshiping the Father. John 14:6, “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” Worship and adoration of the Father comes through faith in Jesus Christ.
When I came to Christ, I had nothing to offer Him accept my belief that He is my Savior. That step of faith began my faith walk. God doesn’t need me to be neat and tidy. He wants me to obediently follow His ways. On a daily basis the Holy Spirit is my constant guide. Though I do appreciate an orderly home and surroundings, I understand God merely wants me to be a willing servant with a heart for Him. My worship and adoration of God was born at salvation.
How will we worship God today?
Praising God together,
