Romans 3:24, 6:14, 11:5 NIV 2011
And all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.
Paul wrote this letter to the Gentiles in Rome as well as the Jews. The impetus for his letter is founded on the truth of the gospel. Salvation was and is God’s plan for all people, Jew or Gentile. God’s righteousness comes through Jesus Christ. Romans 4:25, “He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.” Grace comes through Jesus Christ, not the law. John 1:17, “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” Grace is God’s gift to sinners that were once slaves to sin. Jesus is the Grace of God.
Jesus paid the price for my sin. God’s grace is greater than all my sins. Those two statements to this day still amaze me. From Genesis to Revelation, God’s grace is present in every book. I recall when I preferred to read the New Testament simply because God seemed too mean in the Old Testament. Having studied the Old Testament in depth, God remains the same in the Old and New Testaments. Daily I’m thankful Jesus is the Grace of God.
How have you experienced God’s grace?
