Colossians 1:27, 29 NIV 2011
To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.
Paul shared with the Romans the answer to the mystery. Romans 2:4, “Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?” The Spirit lives within believers. Romans 8:10, “But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.” All are part of the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:27, “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is part of it.” Jesus lives in the hearts of saved sinners.
As believers in Christ, we have something none other than fellow sisters and brothers in Christ have. The Lord dwells within all of us that have been “born again.” It’s not by being good enough or following all the rules and regulations set by an entity. Christ came into my heart when I accepted Him as Lord and Savior of my life. That included the gift of the Holy Spirit that dwells within me guiding me daily. Living in intimate fellowship with the Master starts at salvation.
How does Jesus make His presence known?
