1 Corinthians 15:51-52a, 1 Thessalonians 5:9 NIV 2011
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Paul addressed confusion in Corinth about resurrection. Paul used a similar way to describe the body of God’s redeemed people to the faithful in Philippi. Philippians 3:21, “who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” Christ did the same. Matthew 24:31, “And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” Salvation is God’s answer. Faith in Christ saves sinners.
None of us know when we will pass from this world. The one thing we know as those who’ve chosen Jesus Christ as Lord of our lives, we will be welcomed into the presence of the Lord when we die. That’s why it’s incumbent upon us to share the Good News daily with any that don’t. For those who don’t know Him, here’s the ABC’s to offer them: Admit you are a sinner. Believe in Jesus Christ. Call upon Him. My faith in Christ saved me.
Who needs to hear the ABC’s?
Faithful saved sinners,
