Luke 8:1, 48, 50 NIV 2011
After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him.
Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”
Hearing this, Jesus said to Jarius, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”
Jesus and His disciples traveled together. Jesus spoke to crowds in parables. The first was a farmer sowing seeds. Luke 8:8, “Still other seeds fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.” The seed is the Word of God. Those with a noble and good heart hear, retain and persevere by producing a crop of believers. Jesus restored a demon-prossed man, healed a bleeding woman and raised a child from the dead. Belief in the Lord Jesus Christ heals sinners.
Jesus was a man that always spoke the truth. Even when it would hurt someone, He did not hold back because the truth will always set us free. He lived a sinless life. He healed many but was hated by the Pharasees and many of the leaders in the Temple because He never backed down from being honest even when it hurt. I was listening to a hymn this morning, “I’d Rather Have Jesus.” The story behind it tells of a woman’s love for her child. Jesus Christ daily heals sinner like me.
Who needs Jesus’ healing?
