Galatians 6:4-6 NIV 2011
Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load. Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.
Paul cautioned the faithful to be responsible for every area of their life. 2 Corinthians 13:5, “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?” God did not keep a report card; they were measured by what they did for Him not by what others did. Galatians 6:2, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Each one needed to be doers of the Word not just hearers of the Word. Freedom in Christ enables believers to share God’s Truth.
Romans 14:12, “So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.” By remaining in God’s Word daily, I spend more time examining my life. He wants me to be ready for that account. Some days I come up shorter than others but He is my perfect plumb line. The TL said during BSF lecture last week, “God is not trying to rip me off. He’s trying to set me free.” He’s freed me to share His Truth.
Who needs to hear God’s Truth today?
Sharing His truth together,
