Isaiah 65:16 NIV 2011
Whoever invokes a blessing in the land will do so by the one true God; whoever takes and oath in the land will swear by the one true God. For the past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes.
Isaiah’s last nine chapters contain God’s words regarding Israel’s deliverance as well as everlasting judgment. God continued to reveal Himself even to those who did not seek Him. Isaiah 65:1a, “I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me.” God was with all who followed Him. Psalm 31:5, “Into your hands I commit my spirit; deliver me, Lord, my faithful God.” Moses affirmed God as the One True God. Deuteronomy 6:13, “Fear the Lord your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name.” God is the One True God.
Sitting here at 35,000 feet I ponder all that I have as a believer. I’ve been blessed beyond all measure and for that I am truly thankful. God provided a way for me to have a relationship with Him: Jesus Christ. Looking toward the One True God, I’m convicted of those times I’ve chosen to stretch the truth to match my words. God faithfully continues to walk with me even when I falter. Turning from sinful choices daily I can focus on fellowship with our One True God.
Where is God’s truth leading us today?
