Romans 12:16, James 3:18 NIV 2011
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
Paul’s letter to the faithful in Rome offered them insight into living in peace with those around them. Ephesians 2:14, “For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.” They were called to look beyond the status of those they connected with in the community. Romans 14:19, “Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.” James presented godly wisdom. Matthew 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” God sent Jesus to bring peace on earth.
Watching the snow fall today brought a sense of order and peace. The beauty as it blanketed the ground was peaceful and bright. When everything is covered in snow, it brings to mind our cleansing when we come to Christ. We are washed white as snow but still have free will to make our own decisions. I find my path is always better when I leave Him in charge. My goal is to remain close to Him in prayer regarding decisions I make. I am thankful daily God sent Jesus to bring us peace.
