Revelation 1:17-18 NIV 2011

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.”

The apostle John authored the last book of the Bible. He wrote encouraging words from the Jesus to God’s people. They were to remain faithful especially during persecution until His return. Jesus spoke directly to John. Revelation 1:11, “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches…” Jesus told John not to be afraid which gave him hope. The action of hope is the future return of Jesus Christ. Hope is found in nothing less than Jesus Christ

The book of Revelation was a mystery to me until I studied it in BSF. Revelation 22:13, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” All believers have present hope in Jesus Christ. We know He will return. Every generation thinks He will return while they are alive. He didn’t tell John when but that He would return. Revelation 20:b, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Some think He will return soon. I don’t know when but my hope is found in Christ alone.

Where do you find hope daily?

Christ our Hope,

S

    1. He is our only hope during any tumultuous times we may endure. As believers together our hope is multiplied and spreads to the least, the lost and the lonely. Hugs right back my Sister-in-Christ!
