1 Corinthians 1:7-9 NIV 2011

Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gifts as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Paul offered thanksgiving for the grace given to every believer in Christ. He affirmed each had been given the capability through the power of the Holy Spirit to act in accordance with their call. Believer’s strength comes through Christ. 1Thessalonian 3:13, “May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father.” God was faithful in the Old Testament as well as the New. 1 Thessalonians 5:24, “The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” God is faithful.

God’s faithfulness is visible throughout the Bible. As a believer, His faithfulness is visible daily when I make the choice to look for it. Time spent in sweet fellowship with a sister in Christ yesterday was a chance to see His faithfulness. A visit with my favorite optometrist revealed God is faithful. Dinner around a restaurant table with family celebrating a couple of birthdays put a smile on my face as I saw God faithfully there. When we look for Him, God is faithful.

Where have you seen God’s faithfulness today?

Faithfully His,

S
