Genesis 32:10, Psalm 91:4 NIV 2011
I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness you have shown your servant. I had only my staff when I crossed this Jordan, but now I have become two camps.
He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
God’s faithfulness is found from Genesis to Revelation. The word faithfulness alone is found at least thirty-eight times in the book of Psalms and five in Genesis. Jacob did not consider himself worthy of God’s faithfulness when meeting Esau. Both Abraham and Moses were faithful. Timothy and Silas were both counted as faithful in the New Testament. God promises to preserve, guard, protect and bless those whose character includes faithfulness. God’s people bring Him glory through their faithfulness.
Faithfulness means to remain steadfast to one’s commitments. There are times in my life when I’ve thought myself unworthy of God’s faithfulness. And yet He’s steadfastly been there especially during those uncertain times. The more age I add, the more faithful I have become because I do not chafe at His call. Waiting on His timing is not always easy but it is the best course for my life. Knowing God’s Word and each name that is written there, assures me daily that He is faithful. Faithfulness is my personal way to bring Him glory.
What are the ways you share faithfulness at home?
