John 15:5 Philippians 4:13 NIV 2011

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

I can do all things through him who gives me strength.

Jesus gave His final “I am” statement in verse 1. “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.” The word vine symbolized Israel. Jesus is the True Vine who lacked nothing because He was God “with skin on.” Jesus reminded the people they needed to have a daily walk with Him or be led astray toward sinful choices. Paul lived life with a purpose. Christ called Him and continued to strengthen him as he shared Jesus Christ. Colossians 1:11, “being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might.” God calls His people to live with purpose.

I’ve been given the absolute privilege of praying for and coming along side the women in my BSF Online Leaders Group. Many had discussion groups today and I stand amazed at how our Unstoppable God was right beside these faithful leaders. Both Scriptures above remind me of how our leaders show up on a weekly basis to serve God. Each has a daily walk with the Lord, which helps them focus on Him, rather than what surrounds them. Even when the going got tough, each relied on Him. All live with purpose.

How are you living with purpose today?

Living God’s call together,
