Mark 8:11-13 NIV 2011
The Pharisees came and began to question Jesus. To test him they asked him for a sign from heaven. He sighed deeply and said, “Why does this generation ask for a sign? Truly I tell you, no sigh will be given to it.” Then he left them, got back into the boat and crossed to the other side.
Pharisees were teachers of Jewish law wanting Jesus to prove His religious authority. Luke 11:16, “Others tested him by asking for a sign from heaven.” Jesus refused their request because of their unbelief. Matthew 12:38, “Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, ‘Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.’” Jesus’ words and actions spoke volumes. Mark 3:28, “Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter.” Hearts turned toward Jesus see His presence daily.
In my desire to help a fellow online BSF group leader by leading her meeting, I forgot the platform I use is being used around that same time. Thankfully God was in the details bringing that to light. A few texts and emails offered me a resolution. Each time we take a flight and choose to fly standby, I see His hand when we get seats on full flights. Since my heart is turned toward Jesus, it’s difficult for me not see His presence in my life daily.
What signs from Him go unnoticed?
