Jeremiah 32:17, 18b-19 NIV 2011
“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Great and mighty God, whose name is the Lord Almighty, great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve.”
Jeremiah was called by God, Jeremiah 1:4, “The word of the Lord came to me saying…” God spoke to Jeremiah in 27:5, “With my great power and outstretched arm I made the earth…” Jeremiah was praying back what the Lord revealed to him. Like Abraham in Genesis 18:4, Jeremiah knew nothing was too hard for the Lord. As with Moses in Deuteronomy 10:17, Jeremiah’s prayer included praise for many of God’s attributes. Isaiah 28:29, “All this comes from the Lord Almighty, whose plan is wonderful.” Nothing is too difficult for the Lord.
Philippians 4:13 NKJ, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” December 6, 2013 I claimed this Scripture with a dear friend. In less than two months we will celebrate four years. She remains here because of God’s good purposes. Praying back God’s attributes daily, is my way of beginning prayer. My perspective becomes Christ centered rather than me centered. Everything that we have comes from Him. He sees everything and knows our needs. Nothing is too difficult for our God.
Where is God at work today?
Thankfully He’s God,
