Isaiah 45:18b-19 NIV 2011
“I am the Lord, and there is no other. I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob’s descendants, ‘Seek me in vain.’ I the Lord, speak the truth; I declare what is right.”
God heard the prayers of His people. Job 42:10, “After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.” Isaiah knew the Lord is God. Deuteronomy 4:35, “The Lord is God; besides him there is no other.” God wanted His people to seek Him alone. Deuteronomy 4:29, “But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.” God desires heartfelt prayers to answer in His perfect timing.
Last night our prayer team sat together to pray for our nation as well as others in need of prayer in our church and families. One member is leaving for a mission trip to Kosovo and Albania next week. I shared Psalm 85:8-10 from yesterday’s Daily and the truth: faith in God brings peace to the hearts of believers. And that’s what led me to Isaiah today. Conversations with the Lord keeps my prayer life vibrant. This helps me pour my heart out and see His perfect timing answering my prayers.
How is God working in our daily lives?
