Psalm 34:1, Ephesians 5:20 NIV 2011

I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.

…always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

David knew the Lord. He gave God praise for His guidance toward godly living. He committed to praise the Lord continually. Even during difficult times, Job praised the Lord. Job 1:21, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” Paul knew the Lord and was thankful he met Him on the road to Damascus. Colossians 3:17, “…giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Philippians 4:6, “…with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Always giving praise and thanksgiving to God guides believers to right thinking.

When my feet hit the floor in the morning, I’m thankful I’ve been given one more day to be a part of this amazing world. I’m thankful for my husband, our daughters and both of their lovely families. We’ve been blessed with pretty good health and many friends. I praise God for the investments we’ve made that allow us to be comfortable in our retirement. He’s always there with us even in those difficult or hard times. Daily I give praise and thanksgiving to God as He guides me toward right thinking.

Where is God guiding you today?

Thanking and praising our God together,
