1 John 4:5-6 NIV 2011
They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
The apostle John wrote three additional letters that have his name. John was positive that the faith each believer had in Jesus Christ was assured. John encouraged them to refute teachings that didn’t align with the teachings of Christ. John 14:17, “the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.” Those who place their faith in Christ will see God’s Truth.
I have the same blessed assurance, which John wrote of in his letter to believers. It was my personal choice to follow Jesus. Writing has brought great joy to my life as I spend time in God’s Word daily. Living in this world today it’s foundational to remain focused on the Lord. When focused on Him, it’s easier to ignore those who speak or act with threatening or ungodly words. God’s Word is True and reliable. I’ll stand for nothing less than Jesus because my faith is firmly placed in Him.
How will we share God’s Truth with those who don’t know?
We’re faithfully His,
