Psalm 32:7,10-11 NIV 2011
You are my hiding place: you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.
Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trust in him. Rejoice in the Lord and be glad you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!
Psalm 32 is a testimony of God’s gift and the joy in His constant forgiveness of those who follow His ways. A believer’s life is secure in Him alone as He surrounds them with others of faith. God’s love never changes nor fails. In Hebrew unfailing love translates as goodwill and one that is relied upon especially in time of need. The Psalm ended with those worshipping the Lord singing praise to Him. God is worthy of praise because His love is constant and unfailing.
There were times when I was young that I would run to my hiding place. It was usually a place in the corner of a bedroom behind a bed. When I began to follow Christ, He was my refuge and hiding place. Because we live in a fallen world, there will constantly be times when the wicked will have their way. The Lord is always there even during those rough times. It saddens me that there are many who do not know of his constant unfailing love. I will rejoice daily knowing He alone is worthy of my praise.
How will we tell others of Jesus?
