1 Chronicles 29:13-14 NIV 2011

Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.

“But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”

David, knowing everything that he had came from God, gifted all he had to the building of the Temple. All of Israel followed his lead. He then prayed. 1 Chronicles 29:10, “David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, ‘Praise be to you, Lord, the God of our Father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.’” David was keenly aware God cared for and remained with His people. Psalm 8:4, “what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?” The Lord God Almighty is perfect and present in all circumstances.

Celebration day for BSF discussion group was today. Always bitter sweet. Looking back over 30 lessons and sharing all the ways we’ve seen God through our study is consistently humbling for me. God was present as my ladies shared. One who was unable to make our online meeting shared via email. She typed, “We are to be brave and bold like David.” That was God’s affirmation for my decision to lead a Bible Study here in my neighborhood. Perfect God is present daily in every situation.

Why should God be praised in all situations?

Practicing in His presence,
