John 1:17, 1 Corinthians 1:4 NIV 2011
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus.
Moses reminded Israel to remember the law. Deuteronomy 32:46, “Take heart all the words I have declared…obey carefully all the words of this law.” John knew the truth of God’s Word and the law. He understood grace came through Jesus. John 1:14, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” Paul drew strength from knowing God’s Grace spread throughout the world by grace-filled Christians. Romans 1:18, “…because your faith is being reported all over the world.” God’s gift of grace comes through His Son, Jesus.
Living on this side of the cross, we have the advantage of knowing Jesus came to save sinners. I know daily I can start anew through prayer and confession. One thing has been abundantly clear as I grow in my walk with the Lord, though I am imperfect, He can perfect what He created. Being a Light for the Lord pushes me towards being truthful in all I say or do. I was given God’s grace through Jesus Christ and He works in my heart to share His grace with others.
How have you experienced God’s grace today?
God’s grace-filled faithful believers,
