Jeremiah 31:3, Romans 5:8 NIV 2011
The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
God’s love was visible from Genesis to Malachi. The words of His prophets reveal God’s love. Hosea 11:4, “I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love. To them I was like one who lifts a little child to the cheek, and I bent down to feed the.” New Testament authors wrote of God’s love. 1 John 4:9, “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.” God’s commitment to His faithful is visible in His everlasting love.
Saying, “I love you” to family and friends was not a normal occurrence growing up. I believed it was understood and therefore not necessary to state it. The closer I’ve grown to the Lord over the years I see His love for me daily. It is apparent in the blessings I receive through those close to me. It leaps off the pages of His Word as I write and read. The fact that He loves a sinner like me is astounding. Professing Jesus as my Savior, I received His everlasting love.
