2 Corinthians 4:15, 18 NIV 2011
All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Paul finished by addressing the Corinthians about their weakness. He reminded them they’d spend eternity with God. He called them to share the gospel with those who did not know the Lord. That act would bring glory to God. God’s grace begins to flow when believers share the Good News. He encouraged them to keep their focus on Jesus, not on the world surrounding them. The heart of the believer needs to focus upward not outward. Focused consistently on Jesus believers reflect God’s amazing grace.
As a follower of Christ, I’ve been given so much to be thankful for and share. The gift God gave me at the cross was His grace at salvation and the promise of eternal life. One job He’s given me is to share His Good News daily. Being in leadership with BSF for many years has been another. Serving in each church I’ve been a part of has been a helpful way to connect and keep my eyes fixed on Him. Focusing my eyes on Jesus helps others see His amazing grace.
How will we share His amazing grace today?
Saved through Christ alone,
