Ephesians 5:15-16, James 3:13b NIV 2011
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
Both the apostle Paul and James, a church leader in Jerusalem, agree on the look of lives lived for Christ. Paul revealed how to walk with Christ and seize every opportunity. Ephesians 5:2, “and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us…” Colossians 4:5, “Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.” Wisdom comes from God. James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” God guides saved sinners to live for Christ.
Sitting at my desk this morning I pondered, “How do I live for Christ daily?” Responding to a few emails and text, I had my answer. Some I was measured in my answers by making sure I used God’s Word as my guide. Others to fellow believers my words came easily. As followers of Jesus Christ, we walk a fine line as we shine the Light of Christ to this lost and dying world. Making the most of every opportunity we must shine Jesus Light. I chose living for Jesus.
How are we doing our part?
Living for Jesus together,
