Romans 2:5, 8 NIV2011
But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.
But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.
Paul offered the church in Rome information regarding God’s judgment. Everyone is judged according to what they know, they do and their “light.” His preface to the people disclosed God’s judgment during the end times. Romans 1:18, “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness.” On that day God’s final judgment will be the day of God’s wrath. 2 Thessalonians 2:12, “and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.” Believers are saved from God’s Wrath.
Several verses in Revelation disclose the “great day of the Lord.” Old Testament Scripture from both Joel and Zephaniah make references to “the day of the Lord.” After studying the book of Revelation it’s clear there will be a day of judgment. For each of us that know and have been saved by the grace of Jesus Christ, we stand assured we are His. God judges those who’ve not chosen Christ as their Savior. They’ll stand-alone. Everyone is judged. Believers in Christ are saved from God’s Wrath.
How will we be judged?
Thankful for His Light,
