Mark 16:14-15 NIV 2011

Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

After Jesus death on the cross, there were only eleven disciples. His appearance was a reminder to “Go.” Jesus’ words have been called the Great Commission. Matthew 28:18-19a, “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given by me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.’” John 20:21, “Again Jesus said, ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.’” From a Damascus road conversion to chains, Paul shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Believers are called to share their salvation story.

We flew close to the home a friend with a killer view of Puget Sound yesterday. Then turned and were near the shop of my father-in-law which he’d owned from before we met until shortly before his passing. God created each of us for a purpose. No matter what our station in life, we have a salvation story. Daily we meet people that need to know Jesus lived and died to save sinners. He accepts everyone right where they are. We answer Jesus’ great commission by sharing our salvation story.

Where will you share your salvation story?

Saved by Jesus,
