1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV 2011

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians was written an encouragement for them. The conduct of the church body concerned Paul. He reminded the church that temptation alone is not sin. It’s what they do in response to the temptation and yielding to it is the sin. Testing and tested are both Greek meanings for temptation. He assured the church “God is faithful.” Turning to Him, the test/temptation becomes a victory in the life of all believers. Resist temptation and turn to Him for all you need. God faithfully stands with His people as they walk in victory with Him.

The one thing I’ve learned over and over again is how faithful God is in every facet of my life. Having sweet fellowship with friends always reveals to me His faithfulness with each friend he has brought into my life. Having lunch with my sisters is affirmation of His faithfulness to families. Getting ready for another adventure with a sweet sister-in-Christ I’m sure I’ll see His faithfulness. When I choose to daily walk in victory with Him, He reveals His faithfulness with each step I take walking beside Him.

How will we share His faithfulness?

Faithfully walking victoriously with Him,

S
