Psalm 118:24, 119:105,121:1 RSV1952

Psalm 118 is referred to as a hymn of thanksgiving for the Lord’s deliverance when enemies abound. Some commentators agree the people were led to give thanks for victory in battle. 2 Chronicles 20:10, “Then the Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the Lord, the God of Israel, with very loud voices.” Psalm 119 verse says God’s Word lights the way. Psalm 119:130, “The unfolding of your words give light; it gives understanding to the simple.” Psalm 120 is the prayer of a sojourner beginning his day seeking God.
