Joel 2:25-26a NIV 2011
“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm—my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God.”
Joel, a prophet chosen by God, called Judah to repent and return to the Lord. He utilized an army of locust that invaded and devoured their land. It illustrated how sin was invading their lives. God’s Words gave hope for a resolution to their situation. Returning to God offers nourishment both physically and mentally. Praise for the Father followed God’s provisions. Romans 8:28, “For we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” God delivers and restores His repentant people.
There are many that come to Christ late in life. Never having known the love of the Father they are amazed and sometimes saddened by what they’ve missed. My go to verses have always been this Scripture to share with them. Whether we meet Christ at eight or eighty, walking with the Lord is the greatest gift of all. The rich fellowship we have after salvation is indescribable. The work of the Holy Spirit daily draws us closer to Him. I’m thankful God delivered and restored me.
How will we share our restoration?
We’ve been delivered,
