Psalm 102:25-27 NIV 2011

In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain’ they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.

This psalm is a reminder of God’s character. God is the Creator. Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” That statement is the basis of each Christian’s faith. God does not lie. Numbers 23:19, “God is not human, that he should lie, nor a human being, that he should change his mind.” Jesus, God with skin on, never changes. Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Psalm 8:7, “The Lord reigns forever…” God’s character is consistent and never changes.

In this ever-changing world the past century has been filled with more changes than any previous. From floppy disks to computer updates every four months, it’s hard to keep up with all the changes. One thing I know for certain, through all the external changes God’s Word remains the same. My same God that created the universe is still in charge. As the seasons change and friends come and go, God is faithful. I have my eternal security in Him. My daily life may change instantly but God will never change.

Where have you found your security?

Thankful God never changes,

  1. Yes, indeed! God never changes!! Thank you God! We are changing — going to San Diego. Hope all is well with you! Happy Thanksgiving!
We have much to be thankful for……
    Hugs, i

    1. Enjoy Thanksgiving in a warmer climate and spending time with your family there. We fly to Seattle early because I’m making two pumpkin pies for the feast at Brian’s sisters home. We fly in for Christmas in New Albany. Not sure how long we will stay. The weather and flights home will dictate our stay. Hugs, S
