Matthew 7:7-8 NIV 2011

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Matthew, Christ’s disciple, quoted the Lords words in his summary of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. God desires His people be specific in prayer. 1 Kings 3:5, “At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, ‘Ask for whatever you want me to give you.’” Jesus revealed a process of consistent specific focused prayer for believers. James 4:2c, “You do not have because you do not ask God.” Seeking God was Jeremiah’s consistent call. Jeremiah 29:13, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” God responds to the prayers of His penitent people in powerful ways.

As a prayer warrior, I love to make sure my prayers are specific so God’s hand can be seen in the answer. This request was received today: “Will you pray specifically tomorrow morning, 3/19, at 11:40am PST that my white blood cell count will be back to normal or at least at a count that would be miraculous in the doctor’s eyes?” I can’t wait to see God’s response tomorrow as each of His penitent prayer warriors pray in powerful ways.

How have you seen God answer your specific prayers?

Praying daily,

S

  1. Thanks, dear Sally! I don’t think I have been specific enough in my prayers for Bob’s sister Janie! I will try to be better! You always bring good thoughts !
