John 3:17-18 NIV 2011

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

God sent His Son showing His love. 1 John 4:9, “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.” God sent Jesus to save the world. John 6:29, “Jesus answered: ‘The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.’” There is a choice man must make; to not believe or believe Jesus is God’s Son. John 5:24a, “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life.” Jesus Christ is God’s Son sent to save sinners.

Many know John 3:16 but few read the rest of the story. Yes, God loves us but sin separates us from Him. The world continues to stand condemned without Jesus. It is through Christ’s shed blood that God sees me as sinless. I can do nothing on my own. 1John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” God’s Son saved a sinner like me.

Who needs to know Jesus?

Thankful daily for God’s Son,

S

  1. Hope you had a safe trip! Much singing & joy on Sunday! Missed Dean!
So happy God saved us through Jesus Christ who rescues us!!!!

    1. Amen! I keep asking Dean the questions: When we struggle? When we are sad? When we worry? He always has the answer. Yes, we had a safe trip but I’m still here until tonight. I leave on a red-eye and get to DTW at 7am. Hope we get in early so I can make the mad dash to the other terminal for a 7:55am departure. It could happen…Hugs
