Psalm 3:4, 4:3, 80:18, 86:7, 91:15, Isaiah 58:9a, 65:24 Zechariah 10:6b NIV 2011

I call out to the Lord and he answers me from his holy mountain

Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him.

Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name.

When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me.

“He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.”

Then you will call and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: “Here I am.”

“Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”

“They will be as though I had not rejected them, for I am the Lord their God and I will answer them.”

God promises to answer us In the Old Testament.

Our God is the same God of the Old Testament. There was a time when I wanted to dwell in the New Testament alone. Studying the Old Testament He offered me a rich understanding of the New Testament. The more I study God’s Word, the greater my love is for Him. Reading through the Old Testament is a page turning experience. We know where it leads and faithfully see God answers us.

Why does God answer us?

Daily seeking Him in prayer,
