Romans 1:7, 15:33 NIV 2011
To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
The God of peace be with you all. Amen,
Paul began his letter to the Romans stating they were set apart to God. They were being made His holy people through the power of the Holy Spirit. God loved them. Romans 8:39, “neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Paul extended God’s grace and peace. Ephesians 1:2, “Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” His ending prayer reminded them God’s peace was with them always. Peace from God comes through persistent prayer.
Nothing can separate us from God. Bullies of one sort or another abound in the world we live. But the worst bully is the one that lives within us. How many times have you looked in the mirror and said, “I look awful!” Or thought God can never forgive me for this. As a believer, I know I am God’s workmanship, created in His image. How could I ever look awful? God knows everything. Whatever I’ve done, He sees. Spending time daily in prayer allows His peace to surpass my understanding.
How does God guide us to pray?
Filled with God’s perfect peace,
