Isaiah 65:1 NIV 2011
“I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name, I said, ‘Here am I, here am I’”
Isaiah used God’s words to encourage Israel. God was with them. They experienced the consequences of wandering away from Him. God wanted them to remember they belonged to Him. ”Hosea 1:10, “Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measure or counted.”
Paul’s letter to the church at Ephesus emphasized the same sentiment. Ephesians 2:12, “remember that at that time you were separate from Christ.” Israel belonged to God. They were His creation. Isaiah 43:7, “everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” Believers radiate God’s message, “I am here.”
God created in my heart the desire to know Him personally. John 6:44, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them…” God placed a desire in the hearts of the Israelites to know HIm just as He does in believers today. My task is to shine the Light of Jesus Christ daily. Men and women throughout the ages have done just that. Pastors, Christian authors, servants at church and many more live their lives radiating the Truth that God is here,
How do those around you hear the Truth, God is here?
